Frequently Asked Questions
Most clients describe it as a mild “rubber band snap”—and it’s definitely less painful than waxing. Pain also depends on the body area being treated; some areas are more sensitive than others.
Our technology is equipped with built in cooling technology operated by technicians who know how to soothe skin without affecting results. We can also apply some after-care products free of charge, that will be recommended based on the treatment.
In some cases, if the skin is too sensitive we recommend the use of topical anesthetics (2-4% lidocaine) placed an hour on the skin before treatment. Substances such as EMLA are available with a prescription, and others such as LMX-4 are available over the counter.
Yes, it’s safe. Skin cancer is caused by ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun. Our lasers operate on the opposite end of the light spectrum which use targeted heat, not UV radiation. There is no link between lasers used in hair removal, or skin treatment, and cancer.
The only risk from lasers is direct exposure to the eyes, which is why we provide protective eyewear (ANSI Z136 certified) for every treatment.
Side effects like redness, blistering, or skin changes can occur if the skin is exposed to sun after treatment, or if we treat skin that’s tanned or sunburned. That’s why we always conduct a consultation first to understand your skin and hair, and we’ll refuse to treat areas with a recent tan or burn.
Pro tip: Schedule your treatments 2-4 weeks before any beach vacation to get the best results safely.
Yes. We use advanced dual-laser technology that can be tailored to any skin tone or hair color.
You may have heard that people with light hair or dark skin can’t get laser treatments; that’s true for older or cheaper equipment, but not ours. Our lasers use specific wavelengths that work effectively across all skin types.
Before any treatment, we’ll consult with you to understand your skin and hair, and make sure the equipment and settings are right for you.
Pricing depends on the treatment and the size of the area: smaller areas like the upper lip cost less than larger areas like full legs or back.
You can view our complete price list and current specials on our booking page. We regularly run deals, especially if you want laser hair removal on multiple areas.
We also don’t require packages or prepayment. You pay per session for exactly what you need. Many clients find this more affordable than committing to expensive multi-session contracts elsewhere.
No. Your hair and skin aren’t generic. Neither is your treatment plan. Get the treatments you want when you need them.
Want to zap facial hair and stop there? Done. Need microneedling for acne scars now, maybe laser later? Perfect. Curious about one area before committing to more? That’s exactly how this should work.
If you need help to achieve a certain look, we will work with you to come up with a treatment plan with zero pressure to stay locked into a contract.
The reality is that your skin and hair are unique: they are affected by genetics, age, hormones, and many other factors. We specialize in understanding your skin first since this is the most important step in achieving results.
On average, most people need around 4 hair removal sessions spaced out to affect the hair follicle at all stages of the growth cycle, but this can vary.
For other procedures for skincare or body contouring, many people see results after the first session but it may take more to achieve the exact look you want.
If laser hair removal failed you before, it’s almost certainly the equipment. Not you. Here’s what usually goes wrong:
They used IPL, not actual laser. Many clinics use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) because it costs them less to buy and requires less training. But IPL emits scattered light across multiple wavelengths that spreads out before it can reach the hair follicle effectively. It might reduce some hair temporarily, but it rarely delivers the lasting results people expect particularly for those with darker skin or finer hair.
We use true dual-wavelength laser technology. Our GentleMax Pro and GentleMax Pro Plus combine two precise laser wavelengths: 755nm Alexandrite for lighter skin tones and 1064nm Nd:YAG for darker skin tones. Unlike IPL’s scattered light, these lasers deliver concentrated energy directly to the hair follicle, which is why results are more effective and longer-lasting.
We also have Nordlys for advanced skin treatments and Apilus for electrolysis when laser isn’t the best fit for certain hair colors. The point is: we have the right tool for your specific situation. You may have tried a treatment elsewhere, but this is different technology with different results.
Collagen is the protein that keeps your skin firm, elastic, and youthful-looking. After your mid-20s, your body produces less of it leading to wrinkles, sagging, and loss of volume.
The bad news: Simply applying collagen topically doesn’t mean it will absorb. Collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin.
The good news: You can stimulate your body to produce new collagen with the right treatments. The only way to actually increase collagen is to trigger your body to produce more of it from within. We offer several proven methods to stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality.
Our Skin Specific Treatments
For surface-level renewal and immediate glow, HydraFacial and Glacé Hydrodermabrasion cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse your skin with nourishing serums. Perfect for maintaining healthy, radiant skin with minimal downtime.
For deeper collagen stimulation, our Nordlys line of devices uses light-based technology to target skin concerns at multiple depths, while VelaShape combines infrared light, radiofrequency, and massage to tighten and contour tissue on the body rather than the face. Both trigger your skin’s natural healing response to build new collagen over time.
For the most intensive collagen remodeling, Exceed Microneedling creates precise micro-channels that prompt your skin to produce significant new collagen and elastin. This is our most powerful option for addressing fine lines, texture, and firmness.
We can effectively treat any area on the body. Please look through our current prices to see the full list of options that you have available to you.
We treat a wide range of skin concerns using advanced technology from Candela, a leader in medical aesthetic devices. Our treatments address:
Aging and texture concerns including fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, uneven texture, and loss of firmness. Our Nordlys, eTwo, and Exceed microneedling systems stimulate collagen production to restore a more youthful appearance.
Pigmentation and tone issues such as sun damage, age spots, melasma, redness, rosacea, and visible blood vessels. Our GentleMax Pro Plus, Nordlys, and eLos Plus platforms offer targeted solutions for evening out skin tone and reducing discoloration.
Acne and scarring including active breakouts, acne scars, and other textural scarring. We use a combination of technologies to address both the cause and the lasting effects.
Unwanted hair on virtually any area of the face or body. We use gold-standard laser and electrolysis technology for permanent hair reduction on all skin types.
If you are unsure of what will be effective for you, we can assess your specific concerns and recommend the most effective treatment for your skin type and goals.
Body contouring is a non-invasive way to smooth, tighten, and reshape areas of your body—no surgery, no downtime. It’s perfect for those stubborn spots that just won’t budge no matter how much you work out or watch what you eat.
We use VelaShape III, which combines four different technologies in one treatment: infrared light, radiofrequency energy, vacuum suction, and mechanical massage. Together, these heat the deeper layers of your skin and fat tissue to shrink fat cells, boost collagen production, and improve circulation. The result? Smoother skin, reduced cellulite, and more defined contours.
Popular treatment areas include the tummy, thighs, love handles, buttocks, and upper arms. Most clients see gradual improvement over a series of sessions, and results keep improving as your body builds new collagen in the weeks that follow.
Body contouring isn’t a weight loss treatment; it’s for refining and sculpting specific areas once you’re already close to where you want to be. Think of it as the finishing touch for the work you’ve already put in.
We’ve carefully selected industry-leading technology from trusted names in medical aesthetics—because the equipment matters just as much as the expertise behind it.
For laser hair removal and skin treatments, we use the GentleMax Pro and GentleMax Pro Plus from Candela. These are the gold standard systems trusted by dermatologists worldwide, featuring true dual-laser technology that works effectively on all skin types and hair colors.
For skin rejuvenation and resurfacing, we have multiple options depending on your needs. Our Nordlys and Nordlys Mini systems offer fractional laser resurfacing along with light-based treatments for pigmentation, redness, visible veins, and overall skin tone. The eTwo uses combined radiofrequency and laser energy for wrinkle reduction and skin tightening.
For collagen stimulation, our Exceed Medical Microneedling device creates precise micro-channels that trigger your skin’s natural healing response—this is our most intensive option for fine lines, texture, and acne scarring.
For hydration and glow, we offer both HydraFacial and Glacé Hydrodermabrasion. These multi-step treatments deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse your skin with targeted serums for immediate radiance and long-term results.
For body contouring, our VelaShape III combines infrared light, radiofrequency, vacuum, and massage to smooth cellulite and tighten skin on the body.
For permanent hair removal of fine or light hairs, we use Apilus Electrolysis—the only method that works on every hair color, including blonde, grey, and red.
All of our equipment features built-in comfort technology, so treatments are as pleasant as they are effective.
